Your day-to-day work
Perform focused carotid Doppler / CIMT exams using a standardized 10-minute protocol.
Work in 15-minute slots — four scans per hour, with a 15-scan minimum for a half-day.
Work with patients who are curious about their cardiovascular risk and ready to take action.
Coordinate with practice staff and providers to ensure smooth clinic flow and high-quality results.
Organize your day the way you work best, while following CardioRisk quality standards and protocols.
Employment models
W-2 or 1099, part-time

For sonographers who want clinical work and entrepreneurial upside
Start by working existing accounts on a W-2 or 1099 basis (part-time); regional travel is likely early on
As you develop your own local accounts, CardioRisk provides leads in your area and hands-on help setting up new accounts
Design service agreements that align with your income targets and work–life balance — and earn significantly more from accounts you develop
Over time, you may grow your market enough to hire and manage your own sonographers
Qualifications
If you value autonomy, professionalism, and high standards for image quality, you'll fit well with our team.
ARDMS and/or RVT (RVT preferred).
Strong experience in carotid Doppler ultrasound.
Comfortable working independently in a solo environment. Professional, reliable, and able to represent CardioRisk well in partner practices.
Willing to travel by air and by car, including overnight stays of 1–4 nights at a time when needed.
